Hash House A Go Go

So for my pill holiday, Regan took me to Vegas to see Benny and to watch the BYU vs UNLV game. It was so much fun. Ben took us to a breakfast place called "Hash House A Go Go". It was amazing! It had incredibly oversized plates of food, and servers decked out in a disco theme. Benny always has a way of making me smile and forget my worries.

It was great to be there with my honey without worrying about the baby for a few days. I had never felt so good! I felt like I could tackle anything in my way and do it with a smile on my face!

Yep, that positive attitude lasted about 2 weeks. Which is actually a pretty long time when you consider what I've been through what with the vomiting and passing of the kidney stones and all. But it's been a lot harder to keep up the good attitude lately. The pain has gotten lots worse in my muscles and tissues, and the nausea is insane. But we figured out what medicine was causing me to pass kidney stones, so that was a plus! Needless to say I'm not taking that medicine anymore. I am supposed to start another new antibiotic today, which I have been dreading. But enough of this depressing talk. I HAVE been trying to keep busy with fun things! Like dressing up Cole as a skunk for Halloween:

playing Guitar Hero with Kev and Rach, making Halloween and Christmas crafts with Mom and Mel:
and watching lots of movies. If anyone has anymore pointers on things I could do to keep my mind occupied, let me know!! I have been truly blessed with helpers in my family and also my ward that have brought meals and provided babysitting when needed. I hope one day I will be able to return the amazing service they've given me. Thanks for all of the prayers!

  1. Ash I am so sorry to hear about your struggles! You are such a strong person! Glad you were able to have a little bit of fun while you were feeling well enough! Life is rough- I always try to remember "This too shall pass". I know it's easier said than done- but it helps me! Love Mandy

  2. Ashley, i love the picture of you and your little boy at the top of the page. Reminds me of some fun trips to moab and others with you where all we did was laugh.

Anyway, hang in there with all the treatments. Day at a time, right? You're one strong girl. Talk to you soon,
